Growbags’ Chelsea Choice #4 Heyland and Whittle

As regular readers of our blog will know, we three Growbags have in the past operated our own award system for the Chelsea Flower Show, not gold and silver gilts for us, but categories such as ‘best overheard comment’ and our ‘what da?’ moment.

For two years running my award for ‘the best moment of the show’ went to my visit to the LADIES where Heyland and Whittle provide gratis the most luscious soap and hand creams. I love the shared atmosphere of female decision making as we dither between Wild Lemongrass and Olive and Fig Handwash.

So bound up is my association of Heyland and Whittle products with the best day out in my gardening calendar, that I’ve taken to visiting their stand before I leave to choose a hand cream to keep by sink at home. The moment I use it I’m transported back to the heady combination of relief and scented luxury in the ladies loo at Chelsea Flower Show – and what could be nicer than that.

You should try it …they’re on stand #450 this year, where you’ll have to decide between perhaps Greentea and Grapefruit Luxury Foam Bath or Clementine and Prosecco Hand Cream (a good Christmas gift for Caroline) … you’re starting to feel a bit pampered already aren’t you? If you can’t get to the show you can order online at

If you’ve been encouraged by my rapturous recommendation, please mention the 3growbags to them, we’d love them to know we think they’re great.

We're three sisters who love gardening, plants and even the science of horticulture but we're not all experts. We'd love everyone even remotely interested in their gardens to be part of our blogsite.
