I hate the gaudy ones always available in garden centres. Hi Catherine, Elaine here. I believe I bought these ones as ‘Indian Prince’. Yes, I agree with you, I much prefer the simpler ones too – you need to look for Calendula officinalis, rather than Tagetes, which are also often sold as ‘marigolds’. I hope this helps.
